Trojan Georgetown Horse
Why did Al-Waleed bin Talal give a predominantly-Catholic university $20 million to fund Islamic studies?
To begin with, Al-Waleed bin Talal is in fact on record as giving material support to terrorist organizations as reported by: http://www.americansagainsthate.com/releases/PR-binTalal.htm
"In April of 2002, bin Talal donated $27 million during a three-day telethon sponsored by the Saudi government group, the Committee for Support of the al-Aqsa Intifada. The total amount raised, during the telethon, was close to $110 million; Bin Talal had been the single largest donor. According to Israeli intelligence, this money was the main source of funding that went to 36 families of Palestinian terrorists, including eight families of suicide bombers."
The Yale Daily News at http://www.yaledailynews.com/article.asp?AID=31286 states,
In mid-December, Georgetown and Harvard universities announced their acceptance of twin $20 million gifts from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for programs in Islamic studies. Prince Alwaleed described the purpose of his gifts as "bridging the gap between East and West," in the interest, of course, of "peace and tolerance." In recognition of the prince's generosity, Georgetown renamed its Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal center for Muslim-Christian Understanding…
Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY) immediately called on the universities to return the donations: "August institutions like Harvard University and Georgetown University should not be accepting gifts from a family that bankrolls terrorist organizations."
…under Alwaleed's watch [Saudi ART TV network], aired not only the aforementioned telethon but also the fundraiser "Jihad in Palestine," which encouraged Muslims to triumph over the West through suicide bombings and "slitting of throats and shattering skulls."
Given the Islamofascist penchant for taqqiya (doublespeak and lying), we conclude that bin Talal defines "peace and tolerance" as "slitting of throats and shattering skulls," provided of course that the throats and skulls in question belong to infidels and kafirs; "kafir" is Islamofascist for "nigger" and it refers to all non-Muslims as opposed to just Negro Christians, Jews, and animists.
We must really ask, as Georgetown President John DeGioia and the University's Directors (trustees) should have done, why a terrorist sympathizer from a country in which Christianity is illegal would donate $20 million to a predominantly-Catholic university— much as the Trojans should have asked why the Greeks left them a giant wooden horse on a wheeled base for convenient transportation into their city. Let's take a look at exactly what kind of "understanding" the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal center for Muslim-Christian Understanding will promote. (Emphasis is ours.)
Per Catholic World News (http://www.cwnews.com/news/viewstory.cfm?recnum=2258),
In Saudi Arabia, where American troops stand ready to protect an autocratic regime, no form of Christian worship is allowed. It is illegal to celebrate Mass, to wear a cross or crucifix, to read or own a Bible, or even to recite a Christian prayer in the privacy of one's own home. Last December, seven foreigners living in Saudi Arabia were arrested, beaten, and imprisoned for participating in a private Christmas celebration.
The Voice of the Martyrs adds (http://www.persecution.net/country/saudi.htm),
Any person involved in evangelism or who converts a Muslim faces jail, expulsion or execution. Even foreigners visiting are not allowed to gather for worship. On March 25, 2004, Brian O'Connor, an Indian national was arrested in Saudi Arabia under false alcohol and pornography charges, as well as charges related to Bible studies and preaching Christianity. …the Defense Minister, Prince Sultan, told reporters in March 2003 that Christians are free to worship privately, but reiterated that no church buildings will be allowed. He said, "We are not against religions at all ... but there are no churches - not in the past, the present or future." With the death of King Fahd, persecution of believers has not improved, but has been on the rise under the new King Abdullah.
Per Christian Freedom International (http://www.christianfreedom.org/program_detail.aspx?id=52),
In Saudi Arabia conversion by a Muslim to another religion is considered apostasy, a crime punishable by death. Foreign missionary activity is prohibited. The Government prohibits activities such as proselytizing, importing and disseminating religious literature, and offering private religious instruction.

U.S. State Department finally adds Saudi Arabia to list of religious liberty violators
Sep 20, 2004 By Tom Strode Baptist Press
WASHINGTON (BP)--The State Department has rewarded the persistence of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom by adding Saudi Arabia to its list of severe violators of religious liberty after five years of efforts by the independent panel.
It is difficult to believe that Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal's $20 million gift was made in good faith and we think its purpose is to facilitate the dissemination of Islamofascist propaganda. We are not privy to what the bin Talal center for Muslim-Christian Understanding will teach but the following are logical expectations:
- "Islam is a religion of peace." Islamofascism, however, cloaks its violent and intolerant activities behind respectable Islam. It is standard Islamofascist geopolitical doctrine to cause an enemy to lower his guard, through taqqiya (doublespeak) and the hudna or phony peace.
- "Cease-fire?" by Shira A. Drissman explains, "What is being touted as a 'cease-fire' is something called a 'hudna.' A hudna [also known as a hudibiyya or khudaibiya] is a tactical cease-fire that allows the Arabs to rebuild their terrorist infrastructure in order to be more effective when the "cease-fire" is called off." This is in sharp contrast to what Westerners recognize as a truce or cease-fire: a good-faith cessation of hostilities in preparation for a lasting resolution of the disagreement in question.
- "Jesus was a Muslim." The Koran is designed explicitly to aid in the conversion of Jews and Christians by defining the Hebrew patriarchs and Jesus, whom Islam recognizes as a prophet, as "those who submitted to Allah" and are therefore Muslims.
- "Western aggression causes terrorism." New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani threw bin Talal's $10 million donation (ostensibly for aid to the families of the 9/11 victims) back in this individual's face when bin Talal suggested that U.S. foreign policy had somehow been responsible for the mass murder of 3000 American civilians.
